Authentic Assessments

Authentic assessment evaluates a learner's skills and knowledge by applying them to real-world situations. Examples include scenario-based assessment where learners must accomplish tasks applicable to their job function or higher-order questioning which requires the learner to apply critical thought. This training module was designed for a Learning and Delivery team as part of a larger business objective to incorporate more active learning into the curriculum for call center agents. It was delivered in a virtual environment but could easily be adapted into an ILT course.

Introduction to Restorative Conferencing

Restorative practices are widely used in schools and the criminal justice system to offer a path forward when injustice or harm has been done. These practices can also be useful in the workplace. Studies have shown that implementing restorative practice as part of the response to workplace conflict improves employee morale and productivity, and fosters a positive environment for teamwork. This training module focuses on how to conduct a restorative conference when harm has been caused and gives learners the opportunity to practice holding a restorative conference with built-in role-playing scenarios. The training is designed for a virtual environment, but can easily be adapted to ILT.

Tools Used: Google Slides, Canva, Google Jamboard
